Homemade Loquat Jam

Preparation time: 25 min

Peel and remove the stone from the loquats. Place the loquats, honey and water into a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the loquats become soft and break down, this can take up to 10min. Crush the loquats into a smooth paste by using a fork or a potato masher. Add the cinnamon and the chia seeds and cook for another 3min until you get the right jam texture. 


- 5-6 loquats 

- ¼ cup water

- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

- ½ tablespoon cinnamon 

- 1 tablespoon chia seeds


- Change the honey for maple syrup to create a vegan version 

- Enjoy your jam with toast or using for baking and cakes

- You can store the jam in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
