Although originally from China and Japan, we find loquats forming part of the agricultural landscapes on the eastern coast of Spain. Among all of them, the region of Callosa d'en Sarriá has achieved quality that is awarded with the geographical indication P.D.O. Callosa d'en Sarriá. This region is the epicentre that leads the national loquat production with an area of more than 1500 Ha. and produces 40 million Kg of loquats. To guarantee its quality, the loquats of Callosa d'en Sarrià pamper themselves from the tree to your table, thus ensuring their origin and differentiated quality.
Given the delicacy of the product and our artesanal approach, 90% of the packaging are packed in the field itself. There, the staff of San Antonio tenderly treats each fruit to avoid marks and damages.
The loquat is also a versatile fruit. Excluding the brown seeds, the whole fruit can be eaten raw, juiced or cooked. It pairs particularly well with yoghurt for breakfast, or as an ingredient in smoothies or pastries.
